Shamshera: Watch Ranbir Kapoor Perform a Different Side of Himself

Shamshera’s trailer revealed a closely guarded secret: Ranbir Kapoor plays both the father, Shamshera, and the son, Balli, in this revenge epic. This is the first time Ranbir has played two characters in the same film, and in a hilarious promotional video, he is seen roasting himself!

The high-octane, adrenaline-pumping entertainer takes place in the 1800s in India’s heartland. It has the big promise of a never-before-seen Ranbir Kapoor in the role of Shamshera! In this huge casting coup, Sanjay Dutt plays Ranbir’s arch-enemy, and his showdown with Ranbir will be something to watch out for, as they will ferociously go after each other with no mercy.
Aditya Chopra is producing this action adventure, which will be released on July 22, 2022 in Hindi, Tamil, and Telugu.

This is the first time Ranbir Kapoor and Vaani Kapoor have collaborated. Vaani Kapoor plays Sona, and Ranbir Kapoor plays Khamanan, who falls in love with the dancing Sona. The meeting is quite interesting and comedic, as Vaani tells him he can’t stand up to the British and then says he has an entire gang. A sweet-and-sour love story, on the other hand, begins with a slew of romantic songs. Ranbir Kapoor revealed during the trailer’s release that making Shamshera is a difficult task for him. He claimed that he had spent days sitting on the set telling himself, “I can’t do this.” “Aside from the physical and mental stress of playing this part about this high octane, the emotions were high,” the actor adds. There is nothing genuine about it. It’s really us expressing ourselves there. And there were many days when I thought to myself, ‘God, please look at me, I’m working really hard, and please give it back somewhere in life.’ I’ve been through all of those days.”

Watch: Ranbir Kapoor perform a different side of himself in Shamshera

The video is a tribute to all the people who are struggling to make a living, while also highlighting the importance of nature and respecting and cherishing it. The video is a subtle yet powerful message that everyone should take note of. The music has been composed by Ram Sampath, while the lyrics have been written by Rahat Fateh Ali Khan. Even though the song is a Punjabi folk track, it has a universal appeal and can be enjoyed by people from all walks of life. The video features Ranbir Kapoor in a very raw, unplugged format, sitting on a simple stool with a guitar in his hand. While the video is sung in the traditional manner, with the lyrics and tune being printed on a large white board in front of Ranbir, it is no less powerful as a result.
